Overview Of GMAT

The Graduate Management Aptitude test (GMAT) is the admission test for applying in business schools. The test is taken up in more than 150 countries around the world by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). GMAC is the authority committee for conducting GMAT.

Most of the universities/colleges in USA, Canada, and many other parts of the world use GMAT score for admission. Based on the score colleges give admission. After taking GMAT test, students have to take TOEFL or IELTS exams as a proof of English proficiency. This exam is compulsory for those students who are not from English speaking countries.

With GMAT score student can apply for admission in numerous colleges across the globe. The only important thing is to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

The Eligibility criteria for taking the test is that the student should be about to complete their undergraduate studies. You can take the test if you are of 18 years or more.

The GMAT score will help you in getting admission in MBA College of your choice. However, there are options to receive an online MBA with no GMAT. To take GMAT exam you do not require to be from a management stream. Any undergraduate student can take up the exam whether they belong to science, commerce or arts field.

The test format includes Analytical writing Assessment, Quantitative section and Verbal section. GMAC assists your performance in every section separately and also for the total test. So you should give equal importance to every section. The test score includes score from every section which are combined and the overall test result is taken out. Those people who are taking computer based test can see their score after finishing their exam.
