Planning for taking the GMAT Test

The GMAT test takes place through-out the year at various centers all over the world. In the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and US Territories, students can choose the dates for giving the exams just before few days of examination.

In some of the countries, GMAT is conducted only once in a year. Hence, for international students planning is much important. It is better for the students to consult the schools about the date of examinations and the admission procedure, so that they can plan accordingly. So students must take care regarding the dates of the exams, so that they should not miss out.

You can find your own convenient date, time and location for taking GMAT from the available prometric centers in India. The test is conducted in the list of cities twice a day for five days a week from Monday to Friday. Normally, in the month September to December the GMAT test season is almost booked. Hence, if you are planning to take GMAT in these months you should book the examination date and time much prior before at least 90 days to get date and time according to your choice. In rest of the months, you have to book at least 15 days in advance. Normally, the test duration is of four hours taken in two time slots; one at 9:00 am and another 2:00 pm.

Students are allowed to give the exams only once in a calendar month. If the student has taken the test and cancelled the test scores, he is not allowed to give exam in the same month again. Even if the student gives the exam for the second time in the same calendar month, than the scores of the second exam will not be considered and the fee paid will be waived.

With proper planning and procedure the chances of getting admission in the required school or college will increases.
